1. About Living Waters Homeschool

Living Waters Homeschool ("Living Waters," "we," "us") is a parent-directed homeschool planning and recordkeeping service. The Platform provides software tools to help parents and legal guardians organize homeschool records, plan learning activities, track progress, and manage compliance documentation.

Living Waters Homeschool is designed for use by parents, legal guardians, and other authorized adults. Children do not create independent Living Waters accounts under the current V1 architecture. Information about children is intended to be provided and managed by a parent, legal guardian, or authorized adult.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide during account setup and use of the Platform. This may include:

• Your information: name, email address, family name, homeschool state, school year, and community preferences.
• Information about your child(ren): which may include your child's name, age or birth information, grade level, learning preferences, assessment responses and results, homeschool planning and progress information, educational records, portfolio information, and files you choose to upload.

Not every parent provides every category of child information. Many fields are optional, and you control what you enter.

We also collect information you enter into the planner such as daily logs, subject activities, attendance, goals, and notes.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide, operate, and improve the Platform
• Personalize planning, resources, and Learning Profiles/Snapshots for your child
• Generate planning recommendations and compliance summaries
• Display progress insights and reports
• Support optional community features
• Deliver your Learning Profile results and related emails

We do not sell your personal information, including children's personal information.

3a. Children's Information and Parental Authority

Living Waters does not permit children to create independent accounts under the current V1 architecture. Information about children is intended to be provided and managed by a parent, legal guardian, or authorized adult.

By using the Platform, you confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian of any child whose information you enter, or that you are authorized to provide that information, and that you consent to the collection, use, and storage of that information as described in this Privacy Policy.

If we learn that a child has submitted personal information without appropriate parental or guardian authorization, we will take appropriate steps to investigate and address the information in accordance with applicable law.

If you believe a child has provided personal information to Living Waters without appropriate authorization, please contact us at support@livingwatershomeschool.com.

3b. Assessment Emails and Marketing Communications

When you request a Child Learning Assessment or Learning Profile, we collect your email address to deliver your results. We may also use your email address to send you occasional homeschool resources, tips, product and service information, and Living Waters updates.

You can unsubscribe from these marketing communications at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any Living Waters email. Unsubscribing from marketing communications does not prevent delivery of emails you specifically request, such as your Learning Profile results.

We do not sell your email address or personal information.

3c. Parents' Choices Regarding Child Information

Parents and legal guardians may review, correct, or request deletion of personal information associated with their child, subject to applicable law and the technical capabilities of the Platform. Parents may also choose not to provide optional child information. If you would like assistance reviewing, correcting, or deleting child information, contact us at support@livingwatershomeschool.com.

4. Automated Processing and Recommendations

The Platform uses automated systems to generate recommendations, suggested schedules, Learning Profiles, and insights based on information you provide. These systems use deterministic scoring and matching logic — they do not send your child's assessment answers, profile data, or free-text notes to external artificial intelligence providers for processing.

These tools are designed to assist parents and do not replace parental decision-making or responsibility.

5. Sharing of Information and Service Providers

We do not sell your data. We use third-party service providers to help operate the Platform. These providers process information on our behalf or otherwise provide services subject to their applicable contractual obligations, privacy terms, and legal requirements. Categories of service providers we use include:

• Hosting and platform infrastructure — the platform that stores and serves your data
• File storage — for files you upload (such as portfolio evidence)
• Email delivery — to send you your Learning Profile results and service communications
• Payment processing — to handle subscription billing securely
• Analytics — to understand how the Platform is used and improve it

If you participate in co-op or community features, certain profile information may be visible to other users according to your community visibility settings. You are responsible for the information you choose to share. We recommend limiting sensitive personal details.

5a. Analytics

We use analytics tools to understand how the Platform is used and to improve our services. This includes the Meta Pixel, which helps us understand how visitors reach our public marketing pages. Meta Pixel is limited to approved public marketing and acquisition pages and does not operate on authenticated application areas, the Child Learning Assessment, Learning Profile, Learning Snapshot results, or other areas where child or family educational information is handled. Living Waters does not send child names, assessment answers, grades, or similar child profile fields to Meta through the Pixel.

6. Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect your information. However, no system is completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data while your account is active. When you request deletion of your account, we take steps to delete or de-identify personal information associated with your account from our active systems, subject to information we may need or be permitted to retain for legal, security, fraud-prevention, billing, dispute-resolution, backup, or other legitimate purposes.

Some data may take additional time to be fully removed from backup systems. Some uploaded files may be subject to our service providers' storage and retention practices and may remain in their storage systems after account deletion.

We may retain information when required or permitted by applicable law, and some data may persist in service-provider storage and retention systems as described above.

8. Your Rights, Access, and Correction

You may access and update certain information about your family and learners through available Platform settings and features. You may also contact us at support@livingwatershomeschool.com if you need assistance accessing, correcting, or deleting personal information.

You may request deletion of your account and associated personal information at any time through the Settings section. Upon verification of your request, we will take steps to delete your information in accordance with applicable laws and the retention limitations described in Section 7.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will provide notice as required by applicable law. Where required, we will obtain additional consent before applying materially different practices to personal information previously collected.
